How Do I ... Create Browser Bookmarklets for CMS Tasks?
CMS Bookmarklets for use with Ensemble
These CMS bookmarklets are dynamic bookmarks for your browser that run a bit of javascript code to determine which destination to send you to.
These bookmarklets can be used to open pages in Ensemble more directly. They are convenient for repetitive tasks in ensemble and will work most conditions. They were initially created for use in Chrome but have been ported to Safari and Firefox. Currently, IE/Edge is not supported. The bookmarklets may change with incremental changes to the CMS. If you find bugs, contact us.
- CMS Edit - Opens the author (editor) version of the page.
- CMS Draft - Opens the draft version of the page (view as published).
- CMS Publish - Opens the published version of the current page (if any).
- CMS Parent - Open the page's parent folder in author.
- CMS Link - Copies the page's ensemble link to the clipboard (e.g. /content/yoursite_vt_edu/en/).
You will need to log in to code.vt.edu with your VT PID to download these files.
