Language localization pages - the "en" page
The Ensemble content management system allows for multiple language localization options for your content. The default page is for the English language and is a lone page between the site root page and the site content. It is named and referenced as the "en" (pronounced "eee-en") page in this documentation and by development, support, and training personnel.
The "en" page is used to redirect the pageless URL for a site to the site home page, i.e., https://sitename.vt.edu/ redirects automatically to https://sitename.vt.edu/index.html transparently.
The "Title" field in the page properties for this page becomes the index (home) page title in the breadcrumb, site location widget that appears on site pages.
The page also contains three inherited paragraph drop zones for site-wide inheritance to those sections of a design theme where supported.
It also performs the function of being the first breadcrumb in a content path when there is no Parent Organization set within the site configuration. The "en" page title can be edited via the Basic page properties tab.
