Tagging for related content
There are two types of related content components inherited to pages in the VTx theme. These display dependent on whether related content tags have or have not been added to a page.
If there are tags on a page and no related content tags, a more generic related content component will display six items based on ANY tag the page has.
If the page has a Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine tag, an Impact category tag, and an Innovation Districts / Health Sciences and Technology tag, then the related content area will display items matching any single one of those tags.
If there are related content tags on the page the related content component will display six related items with ANY of the matching tags in the related content tags field for that page.
If the page has a Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine tag, an Impact category tag, and a Innovation Districts / Health Sciences and Technology tag in the related content tags field, then the related content area will display items matching any of those tags. If you want displayed differently you can cancel footer inheritance on the page and copy-paste the related content components from the landing page widget examples page into the footer of your content page. You can then configure the specific (bottom one of the two) related content components as you wish for that page.
If you want more focused related content to appear with an event, notice, story, or video, use the related content tags to narrow the results displayed with your item in VTx.
