WARNING: Placing malformed HTML into this component will make the page inaccessible and uneditable requiring a help ticket to remove the page. You will have to also completely recreate the page. We are investigating a solution, but for now use an online HTML validator on any code you paste into this component.
The HTML component gives site creators the ability to insert small snippets of code onto a page. Use cases would include embedding code from a third-party social media site, such as Facebook or Twitter.
The HTML component is intended to embed code snippets only. It should be used sparingly and not as a substitute for the iFrame or Media - External components, both of which support embeds.
After placing the component on the page, open its properties by clicking on the configure (wrench) icon. From here, you can adjust the settings of the component.
The properties window features the Component Title field and an HTML field. The screenshot above features code from Twitter to embed posts from the Virginia Tech account. The embedded tweets appear below.
